Manifesto
Cocoon Lab was founded in 2025 by Rashid Mushkani, Hugo Berard, and Shin Koseki.
It grew out of years of work alongside designers, architectural firms, and community organizations in Montréal. Again and again, the same pattern appeared: the decisions that matter most are made early, with incomplete information and little time.
Cocoon Lab was created for that moment.
Cocoon Triage helps teams review temporary street plans, so a work zone is clear before a lane closes. Cocoon Code runs building-code rules on drawings, and every verdict comes with the evidence to check it.
Our position is deliberate.
We do not believe cities should be planned by machines. Streets and buildings are shaped by people, by context, and by care. They call for judgment and for responsibility.
AI should not replace that judgment.
It should support it.
Time saved is not the end goal.
Better places are.
